The Nalandabodhi Executive Council of Canada (NECC) seeks to cultivate a harmonious Canadian Nalandabodhi sangha , which is the indispensable support for the development of our journey towards realization and our ability to be of benefit to others by facilitating the well-being and development of the sangha and fulfilling the executive and administrative functions of the Nalandabodhi Canada mandala.
Kim McMeans, Chair
Kim has been a student of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche since 1993, and
has been studying Tibetan Buddhism since 1986. In addition to
serving as the Chair of Nalandabodhi Executive Council, Canada she
serves as a director on the Karma Sangha Canada. Kim holds a MEd
from the University of British Columbia in Curriculum Development
and has worked as an educator, both in the classroom and in
administration for 30 years in Vancouver and Hong Kong.
Retired from teaching since 2005, Kim devotes her time to study,
practice and administration as often as she can, in between
traveling in the southern and eastern parts of the world.
Catherine Slone, Practice Director
Catherine Slone is the Practice Director for Nalandabodhi
Executive Council, Canada. She has been a Buddhist
practitioner since 1970, first as a Zen practitioner, and then as a
student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. She became a student of
Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche in 2002. Catherine works in community
development with a focus on mental health, and has degrees in
nursing and counselling. She feels fortunate that her activity - in
the Halifax community where she lives, and with Nalandabodhi on
local and national levels - expresses her wish to be of
service.

Susan Stewart, Study Director
Susan met Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche in 1997 and became a student in
1998. She has held the position of Nalandabodhi Executive Council
Canada, Director of Study for since 2002 and has been a local study
leader in Vancouver since 2000. She is a media artist, teacher and
currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Culture and Community,
Emily Carr University of Art and Design, in Vancouver. Susan's
passion is studying the Dharma, with a bit of gardening on the
side.

Connie McGregor, Finance
Co-Director
Connie is a professional accountant (CMA). She retired and moved
to Vancouver in 2007, after living for 30 years in Edmonton,
Alberta. Connie has been a student of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche
since 2006. Connie has been involved in the Nalandabodhi
Finance domain since 2007.
Joyce Lam, Finance Co-Director
Joyce became a student of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche in 1992. Joyce
worked as a social worker in Hong Kong before immigrating to
Vancouver. She has translated the Nalandabodhi Curriculum into
Chinese and helps to lead the Nalandabodhi Vancouver Chinese Study
Group. Joyce also serves on the Karma Sangha Board Canada.
Sara Daly,
Communications Director and Administrative
Assistant to the Chair
Sara met with the dharma in 1991 while travelling in Nepal, and
became a student of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche in 2004. In addition
to being the Director of Membership and Communications, Sara also
acts as Assistant to the Nalandabodhi Executive Council, Canada
Chairs. Sara is a yoga teacher and lives in Newfoundland.
