Nalandabodhi Special Projects

This section highlights some of the major projects underway at Nalandabodhi to help not only the Nalandabodhi community, but also the wider Buddhist sangha.

Bodhi Heart
The Tibetan Refugee Support Project
This project primarily organizes sponsorships for the education of Tibetan Refugee children as well as providing financial aid to refugee families in need of medicine, food and clothing.  In addition, it provides monks and nuns with financial assistance to enable them to continue with their studies and to assist with food, clothing and medical requirements. More on Bodhi Heart at this website.

Mahasiddhi
Retreat Center Project
Fundraising is underway to build the Mahasiddhi Retreat Center, under the direction of The Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche and Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, to offer regular study and practice programs, house a library for students and scholars, and support translations and publications of historic texts and the teachings of contemporary lineage masters. The Center, to be located in Washington State, will serve as a retreat and educational facility for both new and experienced students of the buddhadharma.

Thangka Project
Preserving Tibetan Arts
Nalandabodhi, together with Nitartha international, is co-sponsoring the painting of  Kagyu lineage thangkas by the highly respected artist, Salga. These thangkas eventually will be housed at the Mahasiddhi Retreat Center.
